Turbulence training has been considered as the most effective
fat loss training system in the world today and it works faster
and more effectively than any other Fat loss program. Turbulence
Training is the ultimate workout system developed by Men's
Fitness Training Adviser, Craig Ballantyne. This program helps
you to lose fat, gain muscles and still maintain a lean body
with a minimum workout of less than an hour 3 to 4 times a week.
Turbulence Training is a proven way to melt fat faster, while
protecting your skillfully developed muscles.
Turbulence training promotes a significant reduction in body fat
and an increase in energy levels over a period 4 weeks in
association with a proper diet plan. It is a program which
demands a lot of energy which may allow you to have more
strength than you had before the fat loss program. Turbulence
training focuses on the burning of carbohydrates to fat, inorder
to burn more calories after the workout is over. Turbulence
Training focuses on resistance training and interval training.
Both of these use carbohydrate as the main source of energy.
So it's obvious the workout is designed to burn carbohydrates
during the training session. Turbulence training program's
post-exercise burning of carbohydrates attribute to the
principle of anaerobic exercise. Therefore, when you exercise
with intervals and heavy resistance training, your body uses
more calories in the hours after exercise than it would if you
did traditional cardio and lifted lighter weights. The heavy
resistance helps in promoting protein yield and an enhanced body
composition.
Turbulence Training also helps women maintain an attractive
feminine physique. It helps you to lose fat, gain muscle,
sustain weight loss and say good-bye to your love handles
forever. Recent studies have revealed that, all fitness models,
body builders and athletes and even common people should include
high intensity resistance and interval training for fat loss and
muscle development. Exercise intensity is the determining factor
for post-exercise energy expenditure and fat loss success. But
interval training is more effective for burning body fat and
maintaining muscle mass than regular cardio.
Turbulence Training is a structured routine that allows you to
get the most results in the least amount of time indifferent of
your goals. This fat loss program induces a metabolic
disturbance in the body which occurs from muscle damage invoked
by intense interval and resistance training creating a potent
stimulus for fat loss and muscle growth. Thus burning more
calories and fat, developing a better metabolic body condition
and gaining enough muscles compared to any other Weight loss
program.

I Hate Diets Approach to Weight Loss
Author: Jeff Adams
The National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES
1999-2002 survey) determined that approximately 65% of the U.S.
adult population was either obese or overweight. This survey
also indicated that an estimated 16% of children between the
ages of 6 and 19 years are overweight. And, there is no doubt
that obesity is on the rise in our country!
Why the upwards trend in obesity? As most of us are aware,
Americans have fallen prey to high-fat, high-sugar, high-calorie
diets (common in fast food restaurants). We're typically eating
way-y-y more calories each day than we need for our lifestyles!
(But, oh! Those 'comfort' foods sure taste good and temporarily
soothe our psyches, don't they?!)
Let's face it, though! If we constantly consume more calories
than we burn, most likely we'll eventually put on some extra
weight!
Ironically, Americans often go through spurts of trying one fad
diet after another or starting an exercise regimen, only to get
bored with it and quit after only a few weeks or so. We refer to
a 'fitness craze.' Do we call it a 'craze' because we get so
hyped up about it one minute, pour all our efforts into losing
weight and getting into shape...yet, soon, throw our hands up in
the air in defeat?
The U.S. has become a sedentary society...and, that's a big
contributor to the weight problems many of us have. When you
combine the common American diet with sitting around endlessly
on our derrieres, it's no wonder that obesity is on the rise!
Unfortunately, Americans want a quick fix for everything that
seems to be wrong in our lives. Being overweight is no
exception. We want to find some miracle diet or supplement that
will make those extra pounds magically fall off overnight! But,
face it! That is NOT going to happen--at least, not anytime
soon! So, for now, we must accept our own responsibility for
doing what it takes to lose weight and get in shape!
Fad diets may help you initially drop some pounds in a short
period of time. However, most of that is just water weight and
is usually gained back (and, then some) just as quickly! If
you're serious about losing FAT and keeping it off, then you
need to make some serious lifestyle changes!
I recommend a common sense approach to weight loss:
# Consult with your healthcare professional before beginning any
exercise or weight loss program # Set realistic goals # Develop
a healthy plan to help you achieve your goals (i.e. focus on
eating a balanced, healthy diet and getting some sort of regular
exercise) # Get started and stick with it!
Note: if you fall behind on your workouts or blow your diet
occasionally, do NOT get disheartened! Merely refocus and start
over again the next day!
What should you eat? What kind of workouts should you do?
First of all, I encourage you to plan your diet based on the
USDA's Food Pyramid. The human body needs foods from every food
group! I DO, however, suggest that you keep your intake of
processed foods, simple carbohydrates, and saturated fats to a
minimum.
Simple carbohydrates include sucrose, lactose, maltose, glucose,
and fructose sugars. These are nutritionally lacking and full of
'empty calories.' If you wish to avoid carbohydrates, these are
the carbohydrates to stay away from!
DO eat plenty of complex carbohydrates--those carbs found in
fruits, vegetables, whole-grain breads, and cereals. These are
good carbohydrates, and they provide nutrients that are
essential for good health. Complex carbohydrates have been
associated with a low incidence of lung, colon, esophagus, and
stomach cancer. They may also decrease your risk of heart
disease, diabetes mellitus, diverticulosis, hypertension, and
gallstones.
Despite what you may have heard about including fat in your
diet, we actually NEED certain fats to keep our bodies
functioning properly. Just remember that it is the saturated
fats--fats that come primarily from animals (red meats, eggs,
and dairy products), as well as from certain plants (such as
coconut and palm oils)--that should be eaten in moderation.
Eating excessive amounts of saturated fats over a period of time
has been linked to an increased risk of heart disease and cancer
of the breast, prostate, and colon.
On the other hand, unsaturated fats are thought to be less
likely associated with cardiovascular disease, cancer, and
obesity. Unsaturated fats include monounsaturated fats and
polyunsaturated fats. Monounsaturated fats are primarily
vegetable derivatives. Included among these fats are peanut oil,
canola oil, and olive oil. Polyunsaturated fats include some
fats from vegetable sources, as well as fats derived from fish.
Among polyunsaturated fats are safflower and corn oils. These
provide Omega-6 fats. We get Omega-3 fats from fish sources.
Some fat in your diet is necessary for optimal health.
Unsaturated fats are believed to protect the body against
certain types of cancer, as well as heart disease. These fats
may also aid in memory function, protect against other diseases,
and help keep the metabolism functioning properly.
The point I'd like to stress is that you should never completely
eliminate any food group from your diet! To do so could have
dire consequences, such as the development of anemia or
osteoporosis. Include foods in your daily diet from each food
group, but keep an eye on those portion sizes! To lose weight,
you need to cut back on calories.
In addition to eating properly, a regular exercise program can
greatly help you shed those extra pounds and is essential to
good overall fitness. Exercise improves your metabolism and
increases the number of calories your body burns each day, which
is necessary for weight loss. And, regular exercise improves
your cardiovascular fitness, your flexibility, your endurance,
and your balance.
The type of exercise you do is up to you. If you get the 'go
ahead' from your doctor or nurse practitioner, you should begin
slowly and work up to a minimum of 20-minute cardiovascular
workouts, three times per week. Strength training and
flexibility exercises are important, too. Try out different
exercises to find those you enjoy the most. If you enjoy what
you're doing, you'll more likely continue doing it on a regular
basis.

A 6-Step Plan To Achieving A Healthy Weight...Forever!
Despite the current interest in fitness and the explosion of new
ways to consume energy drinks and exercise, Americans are still
gaining weight. With all the knowledge we are armed with, we are
nonetheless eating 25% more than in 1960 and our activity level
has decreased by 25%. The obesity rate has increased to an
alarming 62%, and it all boils down to lifestyle.
Obesity has no specific symptoms. Eating an unhealthy diet does
not give you "instant feedback" as to what your diet is doing to
your body. To add insult to injury, poor diets today co-exist
with a sedentary lifestyle we did not have the luxury of living
40 years ago. Choosing the drive-thru window to purchase a
super-size McDonalds meal sums it up quite nicely.
If being overweight isn't enough of a challenge, what's worse is
it increases your risk of developing high cholesterol, high
blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes, osteo-arthritis, cancer and a
plethora of other diseases. Is being lazy and always making your
food choice based on what's yummy really worth this decrease in
the quality of living?
If you are part of the obesity epidemic and are sick and tired
of being overweight, all you need to do is make a few lifestyle
changes to get back on the road to good health. Weight loss is
just the beginning, and the road is long, but the rewards of
living healthy make the journey worthwhile in more ways than
one. Here are 6 steps to achieving a healthy weight and keeping
it for life.
Step 1 - Determine Your Healthy Weight Not everyone is built the
same, so therefore not everyone can look the same. The rate at
which people lose weight also varies. Find your numbers on a BMI
(Body Mass Index) and use that as a starting point to determine
your goals.
Step 2 - Set Realistic Goals Losing weight, while enhancing your
health is a gradual process. Forget about the person you saw in
the magazine who had the body you wanted. Reaching for your
first small goals is much more productive than worrying about
how you will eventually look. Women should plan to lose 1-2
pounds per week, while men should plan to lose 2-3 pounds per
week.
Step 3 - Forget About The Scale You will lose inches faster than
pounds, which is the true measure of decreased body fat. Muscle
weighs more than fat, but is denser, so it takes up less space.
Weight and measure once a week, preferably at the same time of
day. Too many people get hung up on weighing themselves every
single day. They get discouraged easily and they quit.
Step 4 - Find A Healthy Weight Loss Program Direct-selling
companies, provide an array of meal replacements, healthy
snacks, and herbal accelerators that you cannot find in a store.
The distributors with these companies provide the support needed
to help you believe in yourself. Confidence is needed to change
eating habits and lose weight.
Step 5 - Follow Your Plan Without Excuses I lost 70 pounds in 3
months and have kept it off for over 15 years simply by
following a plan already laid out for me. I replaced 2 meals per
day with soy protein-based shakes, and ate healthy snacks 3-4
times per day. I never skipped breakfast but at the same time
did not make it a feast. I also drank 5-6 eight ounce glasses of
fresh water daily.
Step 6 - Expect To Slip Once In A While No one is perfect, and
changing your eating habits take s a lot of work and will power.
If it was easy, everyone would be thin and healthy. Allow
yourself to break from your routine every once in a while. This
is a lifestyle change, not punishment. When you slip and regret
it the next day, don't beat yourself up over it. Just get back
on your track.
Just because you have the option of living a lazy life doesn't
mean you have to choose it. If computers and televisions have
slowly replaced the short walks and bike rides around your
neighborhood that you once loved, by all means get back out
there.
Very few people were obese before the remote control was
invented. Think about it.

How Safe Liposuction Is
Author: Jeff Adams
If you are thinking of undertaking a liposuction, you are
probably asking yourself how safe it would be for you. In any
case, you had better bear a few things in mind. You have to be
informed about all the possible problems that may occur after
the operation. The fact that sounds amasing is how many people
had the operation done without knowing all the after-effects
liposuction may lead to.
If you are troubled whether liposuction is safe or not, look
carefully through the following points of interest.
1. Liposuction can be safe for you if you reveal all your
medical history, and the medical history of your parents to the
surgeon. Whether you have taken medications can also be vital as
information. You have to be as much informative as possible:
because that is the only way that your surgeon can decide
whether or not to undertake the operation.
2. The ability of the surgeon to assess whether or not
liposuction will be safe for your health is another big point.
3. Your safety depends also on the training and experience of
the surgeon, the skill of the surgical staff, the training of
the anesthesiologist and the quality of the aftercare taken by
the recovery staff.
4. Liposuction can be safe if there is a minimal incidence of
inherent risks occurring intraoperatively
5. There exists also the postoperative risk of deterioration.
After the operation, you have to stick to the exact directions
given by the medical staff. This stage of the operation depends
basically on your personal involvement in the recovery process.
It is up to you whether liposuction will be safe for your
health. If you strictly follow the post-operative protocol, you
minimize the risk of bad things happening.
Of course, no-one can say for sure if liposuction will be safe
in a concrete case. Nothing is known with precision until the
operation itself is accomplished. There is the tiniest
possibility that your liposuction be lethal for you: this risk
is reported to be 1 in 5,000. That makes 20 in 100,000 patients
dead after the operation. That happens mostly because of the
neglect of post-operative protocol from the patient and the
caring staff. Liposuction can be safe if appropriate care is
taken during recovery.
Patients should be carefully monitored to omit any negative
consequences.
Two diseases may occur after liposuction. The first one is
Pulmonary Thromboemboli-a blood clot to the lungs. The second
one is Fat Emboli- a fat in the blood vessels. To ensure that
liposuction goes safe, the patient need to do special exercise
after the operation. Medical staff supervises that he or she
doesn't sit or lie immobile for longer periods of time. These
complications may occur from 24 to 72 hours after the operation.
The patient should be kept in hospital for an overnight after
the operation to prevent the risk. Clotting can be prevented
using pneumatic compression "sleeves".
How safe liposuction is has become a many-dimensional problem.
There are other sides of the issue that haven't been explored
yet and may influence the safety of the patient. It is vital to
have a clear perspective of the problem as a whole before making
any decision for or against liposuction.

The Clock And The Mirror
Author: Jeff Adams
These two are the most deceptive devices we know. However, they
are here for humanity to 'overcome'.
Our mirrors show us the reflection of the reflection. The clock
is ticking away a time-line that does not exist.
When Genesis speaks of 6 days, it relates to us the importance
of ranking, or priorities, not of 'time' (one time in
appearance, vs. many times of appearances). Else, there is only
'THIS DAY', consistent of moments, or snap shots, whether we see
it as an eternity, a year, an hour, or thousands of years.
During every millisecond, what exists in the visible image of
the world flickers in and out, just like a pulse, and is willing
to arrange itself all renewed, or replenished around a focused
thought, at any given moment. This image of the physical world
includes the image we have of ourselves.
When we read everywhere around us that we are FAT, because we
eat the 'WRONG' foods, it is NOT TRUE.
In movies, we have seen ghosts appear as a transparent, more
silhouette-like shiny substance. When the ghosts, or Spirits in
these moving images eat, or drink, it goes right through them
and does NOT AFFECT the spiritual substance at all. It ends on
the ground, and does not stick with the shiny substance.
This is reality.
Nothing(!) we drink, eat, or smoke affects our spiritual
substance (Isaiah 54:17). Our Father made us from the DUST of
the earth. Where in that dust are 'fat', 'lean', 'vitamins', or
'enzymes'?
God is IMMEASURABLE, and CANNOT be dissected into His parts. He
is more than we will ever be able to fully comprehend, and the
sum of His parts is ever greater than what our scientists are
trying to tell us.
When we like to drink a lot of wine, we 'PRAY FOR A STRONG
LIVER'! That is the spirit of Purim, the feast where they dress
up in costumes, and empty larger wine bottles.
Do no longer be mislead! Your shape is untouchable by any
physical, or worldly influence. You are the individuated mind
that can RE-SHAPE yourself in any way you wish, for causation
power is exclusive to God's mind, the mind YOU command. This
replenishing includes your 'AGE' as well as your 'HEALTH'.
Begin from within by telling yourself that 'you are gorgeous,
wonderful, amazing and attractive' at any moment you look into
your mirrors. If you don't have the strength just yet, simply
remove all the mirrors, or go often to the OUTDOORS, where it's
easier to go within.
Cut out pictures of playgirls (-boys), or models, or famous
good-looking actors, like whom you want to be shaped. Then thank
God for making it so and behave as if you were like it.
During the ministry of Smith Wigglesworth, the most faithful
follower of Christ the world has ever seen, there was a young
woman who had a goiter on her neck (a large growth that cannot
be overlooked). When she was present at one of Wigglesworth's
sermons, she asked for a healing, which he usually performed
vicariously, from the pulpit, and very shortly.
The woman shouted out loud: "I am healed, thank you Jesus! I
know I am healed as of this moment!"
Every one present still saw the goiter clearly, but was happy
for her anyhow. Days, weeks, even moths begun passing, and those
around her lost faith in her and considered her completely
insane, when she stated upon their doubtful remarks and
questions, 'not to worry about her, for she was completely
normal now, as far as she was concerned'.
Her closest family members were extremely embarrassed, and
considered putting her out of sight for a while, when one
beautiful morning, as she descended from her upstairs bed room
to join them for a meal, her goiter had become invisible.
How long did she have to keep the faith until her bothersome
condition dis-appeared? 3 years.
Now, you know THAT it is possible. And it applies to all parts
of our image, gray hair, fat rolls, spots, scars, knots, as much
as new shapes of buttocks, hips, and legs, even the new
morphological looks of so-called inherited faces, including
profiles.
How do I know this? Because I have been inspired with the
understanding of it, from within.
The generation #42, according to Matthew (count down yourself in
the first book and find that Jesus is #41) is called the 'last'
generation. Why 'last' generation? When we realize that we can
re-shape everything about ourselves, and be eternally young, the
'GENERATION' of new beings has been concluded. We no longer need
to see a better 'tomorrow' through our children. We can form the
better 'tomorrow' right this moment, and for ourselves.
You can do it all on your own. Just believe, or BE the newly
shaped 27-year-old person, and leave the rest to Him, the one
who made us to be His legitimate children and to manage all His
power, so He can 'retire' in paternal pride over us.

Eating Fewer Ingredients Means Less Body Fat
Author: Bob Perry
If you're looking for a way to jack your fat-burning sky-high,
here's a great tip for you:
Focus on single ingredient meals, especially after 6:00pm.
Single ingredients means simple options for you and less
confusion in the long run. Seriously, what could easier than
picking one ingredient?
NOTE: This is not a long-term strategy, nor is it
something you should do every day. Aim for consuming 3-4 meals
per week at first that contain only one ingredient. I know at
first this can be difficult to adjust to, but if you just try it
and put it in action you will see that you will modify your
"wants" as much as you think you "need" to eat something.
Guess what ingredient that is?
PROTEIN
Eating hard proteins foods is a great way to get lean. You can
do this using animal or vegetarian based protein foods. The key
is one ingredient. Consume your normal meal's calories all in
protein. This will help elevate your thermogenic rate and
keep that fat burning. This is one of the best secrets that
everyone from bodybuilders to fitness models to actresses use
everyday.
If you select a second ingredient, select celery and lots of it.
Celery will fill you up and help expend even more calories in
the fat-burning process. Celery is like a bonus food that has
very little caloric intake and yet you burn calories digesting
it. Another secret I use is to drink big glasses of ice cold
water. This is great for two reasons. You get hydrated and
consume no calories and also the bonus of your body expending
energy (burning calories) to heat the water up as it moves
through your body.

Four Important Aspects In Dieting That You Should Know
Author: Janet Martin
There are countless diet programs out there. All of which are
designed to help you lose unwanted pounds and attain better
health. But it makes you wonder why despite all the diet plans
that sprout from every corner of the globe, obesity is still on
the rise. More and more people are still locked in battling the
bulge than fifty or sixty years ago. Statistics have shown that
around 40 million Americans suffer from obesity, while another
58 million are overweight.
When you look at it closer, the main reason why people fail to
stick to their diets is the failure to prepare for the hardships
that come with dieting. Some people even have the impression
that by merely buying books and videos of diet plans, weight
loss is already guaranteed. Well, nothing can be farther from
the truth. So, here are some tips on how you can make your diet
program more effective.
Fix Your Eyes On Your Goals
Realizing that you need to shed off unwanted pounds is a good
start on your way to attaining ideal weight and healthier body.
But definitely, realization will not decrease your weight. You
need to set a goal for yourself and stick to it. Your weight
loss process is basically a set of goals which you try to reach
for everyday. As a dieter, it is often wise to start off by
knowing how much weight you want to lose and before you know it,
you will be well on your way to attaining your target weight.
Avoid Plans That Promise Fast Solutions
Let's face it, you did not gain all those excess pounds in just
one day or in one seating. Reality will tell you that all the
flab in your body has been accumulated for months or even years.
Hence, there is no way that you can get rid of all those bulges
in one day or one week of using fancy weight loss plans even if
you diet or workout nonstop 24/7.
It's simple; never trust diet plans that promise you to attain
your ideal weight within a very short period. Weight loss
requires a lot of discipline and hard work. And if you really
want to maintain your ideal weight without jeopardizing your
overall health, you need a complete change in your lifestyle,
and that can definitely be difficult for many people.
Always Choose Healthy Alternatives
Why do you need to lose weight? For some, the main reason is
beauty and looks. But for many, losing weight is a matter of
improving health hand prolonging life. With this in mind, it
totally makes sense to always choose what is healthy for your
body even as you are losing weight.
Small things like increasing your intake of fruits and
vegetables. Or choosing to take the stairs rather than use the
elevator. By opting for healthier alternatives, you not only
lose weight, you also ensure the health of your body, which is
the most important aspect to consider.
More Heads Are Better Than One
As always, try to find strength in numbers. As mentioned
earlier, reaching for your weight loss goals can be very
difficult. That is why you should find partners or buddies who
will be with you along the way, inspiring you to always go the
extra mile on the treadmill while discouraging you from taking
another bite of fried chicken or decadent cake. Having your own
little team with the same goals of losing unwanted pounds can
definitely help you push yourself to achieve your ideal weight.
In the end, losing weight is all about never giving up. You need
to keep going, to always choose the healthier alternative. Apart
from diet programs and exercise regimens, you can jumpstart your
weight loss program with products that help suppress your
appetite and increase your metabolism, just like Phenocal. For

Healthy weight loss
Author: Jeff Adams
In order to consistently keep your weight under control, it is
advisable to walk about 10,000 steps daily. It is the easiest
activity among all the exercise programs and does not involve
stress to the body. Apart from the activity of walking, a
systematic dietary pattern should be followed so that you are
always free from the obesity symptoms. Generally the people, who
are overweight, are usually not interested in physical
activities. They prefer doing any type of work but without
moving from one place to another. They usually enjoy watching TV
and having a delicious munch. For this category, fixing a
program like aerobics or floor exercises would require greater
efforts. Therefore walking is the most recommendable form of
exercise. For the beginners it is ideal to walk for 15-20
minutes daily. Gradually, the time can be extended day after day
until they are capable of walking 60 minutes daily.
When the doctors prescribe pills for the patients, they advice
the patients to spend some time walking around. The tablets such
as Phentermine are effective only when combined with the healthy
dietary patterns and a daily exercise activity. Losing weight is
a difficult task, and people who are disciplined and take
exercise seriously, would lose weight.
20 WAYS TO LOSE WEIGHT
1. Take it one step at a time
Start by paying attention to what you eat. Cut back on fat and
sweets and add more fruit and vegetables. After you have that
under control, add exercise. If you hate to exercise try it for
only 15 minutes a day at first, then a 1/2-hour. Keep in mind
that while you are exercising you are burning calories and not
eating. Also, it will be easier if you chose an activity that
you enjoy.
2. Find a friend
It is always good to have support when you are trying to lose
weight. Find a friend who wants to lose weight and compare
notes, weigh-in together and maybe even have a contest.
3. Use weights
Working out weights will build muscle and raise your metabolism
so you will burn more calories. Also, muscle takes up less space
than fat so you will be smaller ( but probably weigh more).
4. Eat fewer carbs
Don't eat as much bread and pasta and you will see a difference.
5. Set a goal
Set a deadline to lose the weight and write it down. For
example, ' By Dec 14/04 I will weigh 150 lbs or less'. Put it
somewhere you will see it daily.
6. Give up soda
If you drink a soda or 2 a day you are adding empty calories. If
you find it hard to stop completely, cut back at first and drink
water instead.
7. Grill or boil
Avoid fried meat, grill and use lots of spices. You will get
used to it and probably enjoy it more.
8. Don't buy junk food
When you go shopping, don't go on an empty stomach and you will
be less likely to buy junk food. Keep your home 'junk food free'
so you won't be tempted to indulge.
9. Eat breakfast
Consume most of your calories early in the day and always eat
breakfast. Don't eat after 8pm and not only will you avoid those
added calories but you will sleep better.
10. Give yourself a treat
When you tell yourself that you can't have something you want it
more. Give yourself a treat once a day ( ie. half a cookie) and
you won't feel you are missing out.
11. Use smaller plates
Trick yourself into believing that you are eating more by using
a smaller plate.
12. Drink lots of water
Drink water when you are feeling hungry and you will get that
'full' feeling.
13. Don't eat everything on your plate
Many times we eat just because it's there. Pay attention to when
you have had enough.
14. Eat five or six meals a day
Eating more frequently will keep you from getting too hungry.
15. Plan your workout sessions
Write your workout sessions in your journal or planner.
16. Stay away from fad diets
Fad diets don't work. If you lose weight fast chances are that
you will gain it back ( and more) just as fast. It takes time to
put it on and time to take it off.
17. Do several workouts a day
While you are watching TV do crunches and leg lifts.
18. Measure your food
If you decide to have junk food for a snack - be sure to measure
and control what you eat.
19. Keep pre-cut vegetables
...and ward off those cravings.
20. Create Good Habits

Fat Loss For Idiots Diet Plan
Author: Stuart Elcocks
Fat loss for idiots or fat loss 4 idiots is a very popular
online diet program that’s caught the dieting industries
attention and is being used by thousands of people around the
world. It is a diet plan based on a calorie shifting technique
that speeds up your metabolism and increases the amount of fat
you burn of during the course. Advantages of Fat loss for idiots
The good thing about this diet plan is that the core nature of
the plan is very simple. There are no fancy pills or accessories
you need to purchase, it’s a pure diet program that is very
simple to follow. The program is built around the following;
Eating 4 meals a day Drinking plenty of water Fitting in a
resting period And it also touches on; Fitting in some exercise
into your schedule. Limiting the amount of junk food you may eat.
The program uses a common sense approach and contrary to the
unfortunate name they have decided to give it (I think it maybe
playing on the popular dummies guide to books) I found it not
patronising in the slightest.
Disadvantages of Fat loss for idiots
The claim that people can lose 9 pounds in 11 days is not backed
up my any testimonials on there website but if you research on
the internet you will find that people have lost weight using
this plan, maybe not 11 pounds but very close to this mark.
In my opinion the fat loss for idiots diet plan is worth a go,
as with any diet plan if you are motivated enough to lose the
weigh you want, then going with a diet plan only increases your
chances of achieving your goals.

patronising in the slightest.

How to Enjoy Your Favorite Food
Author: Jeff Adams
Every day we hear a lot about nutrition, dieting and healthy
living, and see pictures of lucky people who have managed to
loose a dozen pounds and now smile to us from the cover of a
glossy magazine. However, the question is how do you eat your
favorite food and not gain extra pounds?
Adhere to the following tips and you will have an admirable
waistline.
First of all, use small plates. You cannot put much food on a
small plate so you will not overeat.
Secondly, make pauses between bites. Your brain needs some time
to realize that you are full.
Thirdly, it all comes down to will power. Do not allow yourself
to overeat. No matter how strong your desire to get one more
serving may be, do your best to overcome the temptation. You
will be glad you did!
Fourthly, keep moving! Use every opportunity to walk. If your
workplace is not far from your house, do not take a bus or get
off the bus one stop earlier and walk the rest of your way.
Fifthly, set small goals. Do not try to lose a dozen pounds in
one week; be realistic. Each time you reach your small goal, you
will be motivated. After all, Rome was not built in one day.

Carbs Actually Leads to Weight Loss
Author: Jeff Adams
Low carb diets restrict the consumption of carbohydrates. The
difference between the Atkins and the South Beach diet is within
the amount of restriction. The induction phase of the Atkins
diet restricts most carbohydrates while the South Beach diet
allows 'good' carbohydrate consumption. These diets can really
put one's will power to the test. Why?
The human body's primary source of energy is glucose. Glucose
is derived from the breakdown or hydrolysis of carbohydrates
that are consumed. Limiting carbohydrate consumption forces the
body to use fat or protein as an energy source. Decreased
carbohydrate consumption may leave you feeling tired and easily
fatigued until the body adjusts to the change.
The word carbohydrate arose because molecular formulas of these
compounds can be expressed as hydrates of carbons which yield a
basic carbohydrate empiric formula of (CH2O)n. Carbohydrates
consist mainly of the combination of two chemistry functional
groups: the carbonyl and the hydroxyl group. Carbohydrates exist
in different forms such as monosaccharides, oligosaccharides,
and polysaccharides.
Monosaccharides are usually called simple sugars. These simple
sugars cannot be broken down or hydrolyzed into a simpler form
(glucose). A complex carbohydrate refers to one or more linked
simple sugars that require digestion for absorption.
Oligosaccharides contain at least two monosaccharide units.
Oligosaccharides may be referred to as disaccharides or
trisaccharides depending on how many units of monosaccharides
the compound contains. Maltose and sucrose (table sugar) are
considered disaccharides.
Polysaccharides contain many monosaccharide units. In order for
the body to use polysaccharides, these compounds must be broken
down into a simpler monosaccharide form. Examples of
polysaccharides are starch and cellulose (fiber).
Dietary carbohydrate digestion occurs mainly in the mouth and
small intestine. During mastication (chewing) the salivary
glands secrete the enzyme alpha-amylase which is referred to as
ptyalin. Alpha-amylase briefly acts on dietary carbohydrates in
the mouth to hydrolyze starch into simple sugars such as
glucose. In fact, if you chew on a carbohydrate long enough you
may taste sugar. This is a result of salivary amylase
hydrolyzing the carbohydrate into a simpler sugar.
Mastication increases the surface area of the food for
alpha-amylase to act upon. This allows the enzyme alpha-amylase
to work more efficiently in carbohydrate digestion. However, the
food does not remain in the mouth for a long time so only a
small portion of starch is hydrolyzed there.
Once the chewed food has been swallowed into the stomach,
carbohydrate digestion halts temporarily. This occurs because
alpha-amylase is inactivated by the high acidic environment of
the stomach. However, carbohydrate digestion will resume once
the chyme (food mass and gastric juices of the stomach) enters
the small intestine.
The acidic contents emptied into the small intestine are
neutralized by bicarbonate secreted by the pancreas. The
pancreas will then secrete alpha-amylase to continue
carbohydrate digestion. Carbohydrate digestion is finished when
the mucosal lining of the upper jejunum and duodenum absorb the
bulk of the dietary sugars in the form of monosaccharides.
Now that we have a good understanding of what a carbohydrate is
and the importance of the carbohydrate in the body, maybe an
extreme low carb diet isn't the answer for weight loss. Extreme
diets whether they are low carb or high protein can put the body
to the test. Carbohydrates may be a necessary evil, but the body
relies heavily on carbohydrates for energy. Instead of testing
one's will power, using a weight loss supplement called a carb
blocker may be a better option.
Carb blockers are a weight loss supplement recently introduced
into the weight loss world. Carb blockers claim to block the
enzyme alpha-amylase. If the enzyme alpha-amylase is blocked,
then carbohydrate hydrolysis is affected. By blocking the
enzyme, you block the breakdown of the carbohydrate which
affects absorption of the monosaccharide. How so? If the
carbohydrate is of complex origin, the enzyme must be secreted
to break down the carbohydrate into a simpler form for
absorption. In theory, the carb blocker should indeed help to
block carbohydrates from being absorbed.
Phaseolus vulgaris is the active ingredient in carb blockers
that comes from the white kidney bean. Phaseolus vulgaris
interferes with the pancreas' ability to secrete the enzyme
alpha-amylase. Subsequent studies do prove that Phaseolus
vulgaris does in fact inhibit the enzyme alpha-amylase.
Carb blockers are another option for weight loss. However,
permanent weight loss requires you to make changes to your
lifestyle. If you do not change your lifestyle then no matter
what diet or supplement you choose, weight loss is temporary and
short lived. This also means that if you choose a low carb diet,
make sure that this diet can be done. Many people fail the low
carb diets because of extreme commitments.

Hoodia Diet
Author: Jeff Adams
The Kalahari Desert is a harsh desert, but biologically a very
active one. South Africa, Angola, Namibia and Botswana border
the desert. The native tribe, known as San or Bushman by the
white South Africans, is one of the oldest living tribes in the
world, may be as old as 100,000 years. Even then, they do not
live a settled life with agriculture or animals rearing. They
are pure hunter-gatherers. They were hunted down by the white
settlers of South Africa as a nuisance, and as late as the early
part of 20th century, there were hunting parties organized to
exterminate them.
When the San go on long hunting trips following the game, they
eat a cactus-like plant and they do not feel hunger or thirst
for a long period. They called it Xhoba. South Africa's
government research organization, CSIR (Council of Scientific
and Industrial Research), in a routine investigation tested this
plant and found that this indeed blocked the sense of hunger and
gave a feeling of fullness to the stomach.
Hoodia is the name of the plant, and it is not a cactus but a
succulent in the family of Asclepiadaceae. It is multi-stemmed
(about 18 inches high, averaging ten tentacles), looks like a
long cucumber with spikes, smells unpleasant, and has purple
disc-shaped flowers of three to four inches in diameter. It is
bitter tasting and grayish brown in color.
CSIR scientists isolated the active ingredient, which gave the
feelings of fullness when consumed. It is a molecule that they
named P 57. There are about twenty varieties of Hoodia, but only
one of them is Xhoba, with the ingredient P 57. This is Hoodia
Gordoni. In 1776 Col. R. J. Gordon, while exploring the Orange
River, found this plant and recorded it. It is named after him
as Hoodia Gordoni. It is also called Queen of Namibia and
African hats.
Medication made from this plant is one of the hottest products
in the market for weight-reducing treatments

Diet Pills: A Rapid Fire With Adipex
Author: Jeff Adams
"The last time I ever looked at mirror and smiled at me was 5
years back"; "My prayers were answered like magic; I have lost
20 pounds"; "You have to try these diet pills to believe you
can!"-these are some of the real statements people give as an
inspiration to the ones trying to lose weight. You must have
come across them a thousand times on T.V., internet, magazines
etc. In all, these diet pills sure tempt you to lose weight the
easy way.
Let's look at some numbers to understand the impact of obesity
in USA!
About 58 million people in US are overweight and alarmingly out
of this 40 million are obese and 3 million are clinically obese.
This calls for some rapid fire solution to stop the obesity
epidemic from exploding!
Losing weight the effective way:
Diet pills seem to be the answer to those looking for a quick
fix to cure obesity. There are some popular choices in the
market and adipex being one of them. Let's look at the drug a
little bit more closely.
What is adipex?
Adipex is a prescription drug often prescribed by doctors and
used for short term weight reduction. People often tend to buy
adipex online or as an OTC drug without knowing its various side
effects on the body.
How is adipex taken?
Adipex is usually taken early in the morning and is swallowed
with a glass of water rather than chewing. This pill should
never be taken in the afternoon, evening or at night as it may
cause sleeping disorders.
How does adipex work?
Adipex is not a diet supplement and are meant for very short
period of time. This diet pill stimulates the hypothalamus of
our brain and prompts our central nervous system to suppress
appetite. That is why extra precaution should be followed and
should not be taken without a doctor's consultation.
Who all should not take adipex?
The side effects of adipex like diet pills contain harmful
amphetamine and therefore should be administered with great
care. Elderly people above the age of 60, young ones below 16,
pregnant women and breast feeding mothers should strictly avoid
adipex under all circumstances as this pill can cause much
damage to the body. Also people suffering from thyroid,
glaucoma, anxiety disorders, diabetes, high blood pressure,
epilepsy or seizures etc. are not advised to take adipex as this
may threaten health condition.
Is adipex safe for all?
Diet pills like adipex, phentermine etc. when combined with
exercise and balanced diet can really show some outstanding
results. One must not look beyond a 10 pound reduction from the
body weight as this would prolong the usage of the particular
drug. It is a good idea to always go for a doctor's advise
before using diet pills like phentermine, adipex, ioamine etc.
as these rapid fat burners tend to stimulate central nervous
system of the body. However the best way to go about reducing
weight is to always take care of healthy food habits, regulated
life style and daily exercise to eliminate toxic wastes and
purify blood streams in our body. read more at:

A Solution to Weight Loss
Author: Jeff Adams
Article:
With the progress of scientific and technological know-how, the
world is gradually shrinking back to the same ‘Black Hole.’
With the passage of time, space and time are no more a
constraint to people. With people literally living out of their
suitcases, where is the time for a workout? With machines doing
everything for us, right from our cooking to our washing, the
number of people with obesity and overweight problem is not
surprising et al.
People easily take to diet pills, looking for an easy way out of
the whole mess of being obese and overweight. Phentermine, for
one, is one of the most popular diet pills among the body
conscious freaks. But instead of looking for a natural way out
to lose weight, they look upon the heavens, pop a pill of
phentermine and say amen. Heaven help them! For they know not
what the pills can do to their body, if they are taken without
the proper consultation of a physician.
You must always complement your diet pill like phentermine with
some regular exercise of your body. Phentermine, like other diet
pills, has side effects and should be consumed only after a
strict consultation with an experienced physician. Even if the
doctor gives you the ‘go ahead’ signal after studying all
the possible effects of the drug in your body, it is best to
watch out your diet and at least start some form of physical
exercise.
It is true that most of the obese and overweight people have a
habit of being couch potatoes. They are either in bed munching a
chocolate or watching some sitcom on TV. These people can sit in
front of their monitor and play games for hours without end.
But, ask them to work out for 15 minutes, they will stare at you
wide eyed, as if the heavens have fallen upon them.
Restricting your diet to lots of fruits and green leafy
vegetables will help in fighting obesity. Phentermine should be
taken along with a regular diet of fruits, juices and other
foods with less calorie and fat content. The number of
phentermine pills you take won’t have any beneficial effect on
your body, unless you stop munching all those high calorie foods.
The best way to help an obese person out will be to tempt him
out for an ice-cream in the park. You can always end up with an
apple shake instead. Don’t rush him; take one thing at a time.
Begin with a 15 minutes walk, then gradually push him and make
him walk for at least an hour a day. Without realizing that he
is working out, he would actually be taking up the best form of
exercise.
Phentermine, all on its own, won’t be able to help anyone lose
weight or overcome obesity. The diet pill has to be accompanied
by a carefully maintained chart of exercise like walking,
cycling, swimming or any other form of work outs. And finally it
should be topped off with a diet consisting of fruits and
vegetables. Phentermine is not a solution by itself; it is just
a part of the whole solution to fight obesity.

damage to the body.

The GOYA Method of Weight Loss
Author: Jeff Adams
Article:
I started this blog to relay the truth to mothers who want to
lose weight. What works and what doesn't. I'm not selling
anything, and I welcome your comments and advice. I would like
to share my story with you and then I will get into the all the
secrets that I believe create successful weight loss.
I grew up in the weight loss industry. My father has been
helping people lose weight with hypnosis for as long as I can
remember. I guess you could say it has been a family business
since my big brother Dr. Patrick K. Porter is the founder and
creator of the most successful hypnosis and self help franchise
in the world.
When I graduated high school I got my first job in the family
business and was sure that was what I wanted to do with my life.
Can you think of anything better? Helping people get healthy! It
is such a great feeling.
I worked with my brother for a few months and for some reason I
started to hear a different call all together-the military. At
first I thought about joining the Air Force, but the more I
thought about it the more I wanted the designation of being a
United States Marine. So, on April 23, 1993 I hopped on a plane
to Parris Island, South Carolina. I spent the next 3 and 1/2
years serving my country, and I don't regret a minute of it.
When I left the Marine Corps I was a single mom who really
needed a steady income. So when my brother made an offer for me
to move all the way across the country to Virginia I jumped at
the chance.
I started off as a receptionist with dreams of one day becoming
a hypnotist myself. All that changed when on short notice our
salesperson informed Patrick that she needed the day off and he
asked me to fill in. I was happy to help and I did my first
evaluation. An evaluation is where we determined if someone was
a good candidate for hypnosis and then we recommended the
appropriate program for them. I loved it. I loved the feeling of
motivating someone to make a change in their life.
From that day on I was a full time evaluator. Gone where the
thoughts of training to be a hypnotist. I was able to get people
the help they needed and I was good at it.
Keep in mind this whole time I was thin. Still a size 6 and
feeling like I would never have to worry about my weight because
I was in the right place and of course I knew everything. HA!
Little did I know that one of my greatest joys, meeting my
husband, would begin a spiral of weight gain. I remember my
client's complaints, at the time I called them excuses, about
how they had to cook for their family and it was too hard to
stick to a diet. "But that is what is great about hypnosis!" I
would tell them, "It's not a diet, you just don't want to eat
those foods anymore!" I would watch client after client lose
weight, gain self-esteem, and basically get their life back.
When my husband and I had our daughter, my second child, I
gained more weight with that pregnancy than I did with my first
one. I thought that it was okay because I was getting older and
I was in the right place to lose it.
As the years went by I still helped client after client reach
their goal. I even a hypnotist. But I couldn't get past a size
10.
Have you ever been so close to a problem that even though the
answer was right there you didn't think that it was the answer
for you? I thought I didn't need hypnosis because I was a
hypnotist and I already knew everything.
I had decided that I was really going to get focused on weight
loss and each time I tried I failed. I started to see the
reality in my life that all my clients had been talking about
all those years. Funny how those same challenges they were
talking about that I called "excuses" weren't "excuses" when
they were coming out of my mouth. They were genuine reasons why
I was gaining weight.
The next thing I knew my daughter was three and I had made the
leap into a size 12. I couldn't even blame my weight gain on
pregnancy anymore, my daughter was walking and talking and I was
getting bigger.
My husband and I had been talking about wanting another child. I
used this excuse to stop trying all together. I kept thinking to
myself, "Why go through all the trouble to lose it, and then
gain it all back again when I have another baby?" Eventually I
got pregnant for the third, and last, time.
This year our youngest son will be 3 and I was again back in the
same boat, but this time I was a stay at home mom. And the food
was way too easy to get ahold of. I kept gaining until I was
pushing a size 16!! When I saw the scale I wanted to faint! I
weighed the same amount that my husband did when we met!
So many questions started running through my mind: How could I
have let myself go so badly? Why am I not using what I know
works?
I sat myself down and treated myself like a client and the first
I wrote down on my paper was G.O.Y.A. This was something I
learned from my father. When I would be sitting with a client
who might be struggling and giving me all her "excuses" I would
write down these letters. Underneath of that I would fill in the
meanings for each letter. So I sat there looking at "Get Off
Your Ass!"
That that is exactly what I did. I remembered the 10 steps I
would use with clients when they started asking me if there was
some wonder supplement out there that would help them lose
weight.
I started (and still am) listening to hypnosis processes, even
making some myself, since I am a hypnotist. If you want to buy
any, of course I suggest my brothers. You can get them at
www.hypnosistogo.com.
After the first 30 minutes I started to notice all the things my
clients had noticed. The best one was control - I had control!
Not struggling until I was sweating type if control, but steady,
"I don't really care if I ever have that piece of chocolate or
that Little Debbie cake again" kind of control. IT WAS AWESOME!
That convinced me that I was on the right path.
I feel that I have conquered the first 4 steps in creating
permanent weight loss because that is what I'm going for! So if
you are of like mind below are the first four steps:
1. I've stopped bingeing. I am able to leave food on my plate
(and my kids plates too).
2. Cravings - Totally gone!
3. No more emotional eating. My mind is full with the thought of
success, so I am bored. And because I'm using hypnosis I am not
stressed!
4. Snacking is a thing of the past.
The next 6 steps require a little more than just sitting back,
closing your eyes and waiting for the changes to come. In the
upcoming posting I will be going over them just I used to with
my clients.
The important thing to remember is that you do not, I repeat, do
not move on to the next step until you have conquered the
current one.
I've made the above changes since January 1, 2006 and I have
lost over 3 inches in my waist, my clothes are noticeably loser,
but I have not weighed myself. If you want to know why, I will
explain that in a later posting.
The most important thing you can take away from article is if
you are ready to lose the weight. By that I don't mean "try",
because trying implies failure. When you try to do something you
are not committing yourself to success. If you are ready, I will
be giving the tips that clients used to pay a lot of money to
hear, but you will get them for free. So, use them!! We can do
it, you can do it. If you found this blog then you are possibly
struggling and frustrated that nothing is working. I truly
believe that I can help you - while I'm helping myself!
I welcome your comments, and of course advice!!
Remember - Nothing tastes as good as thin feels!
I'm a mother of three, and I finally found the secret to losing
weight! And I feel great. I grew up in the weight loss industry
and I was even a United States Marine. With all that knowledge I
still let myself go, but now I'm finally doing all the things
that I used to advise others to do and "Oh, my God!" It actually
works.

Did Anna Nicole Smith Really Lose It
Author: Jeff Adam
Everyone's seen the commercials. The gradual, nonetheless
impressively dramatic stages of weight loss the curvy sex kitten
icon Anna Nicole Smith dropped purportedly from taking Trimspa -
for a long while. Some naysayers argue that Ms. Smith had
gastric bypass surgery, drastic liposuction or other plastic
surgery to achieve such a huge weight loss in a short period
without getting the sagging, loose skin that often goes with
fast weight loss.
First, let me say, I have tried Trimspa a few times, and I
generally like the way it cuts down my appetite and gives me an
energy boost. But do I believe it can be solely responsible for
such a drastic weight loss as Anna Nicole Smith, or any other
individual who may be considered obese? I'm not so sure.
Now, couple a weight loss and appetite suppressant such as
Trimspa with professional personal trainers and dietitians, or
for us "normal" folks, just good old fashioned discipline and
you've got yourself a winning weightloss combination. Anna
Nicole was probably put on a strict diet and exercise regimen,
along with Trimspa in order to shed so many pounds so fast.
Sure, Trimspa undoubtedly helped to suppress her appetite and
give her an edge, but I don't think anyone is naive enough to
think Trimspa alone was responsible for her dramatic
transformation.
So, What Ingredients Does Trimspa Contain?
1. Hoodia Gordonii - A native African cactus-like plant, which
is now more widely advertised as a diet aid. Trimspa was
actually the first to use this plant extract in a commercial
weight loss formula. Hoodia Gordonii is most well known for it's
abilities to suppress the appetite.
2. Glucosamine - This natural compound is supposed to prolong
the amount of time glucose remains in the blood stream. In other
words, it helps stabilize blood sugar levels, which also
stabilizes the appetite.
3. Green Tea Extract - Green Tea is supposed to have thermogenic
(accelerated fat and calorie burning) capabilities, as well as
sustain higher energy levels and help to eliminate free radicals.
4. Vanadium - Another natural compound which aids in appetite
suppression.
5. Chromium - Another nutrient which helps stabilize blood sugar
and control carb cravings.
6. Glucomannan - A natural root extract which purportedly helps
to aid in feelings of fullness by acting essentially as a fiber
"filler" in the stomach.
7. Citrus Naringen - Curbs appetite.
8. Theobromine - Acts as a mild diuretic (rids the body of
excess water retention). Believe it or not, some different types
of chocolate contain this organic compound also.
As you can see, Trimspa seems to have a pretty powerful
combination of natural weight loss ingredients. And it does work
well - for a while. But be warned, the effects do wear off after
a while, and your appetite does return. I think the key to
permanent weight loss and consistent weight maintenance lies in
finding the right balance of foods that you enjoy which
naturally lends themselves to a healthy weight.
So, did Anna Nicole really lose it all through hard work,
determination and a financial incentive from the folks at
Trimspa, or did she have some help from doctors? I'm afraid
we'll never know the real story, but it sure is fun to
speculate!

All About What You Gain
Author: Jeff Adams
Many people have thought about losing weight over the years,
but often seem to fall short of an actual attempt to do it. The
reason why so many people think about it so much is because deep
down, they know that having that extra poundage is not at all
good for them. The problem is, just knowing that being
overweight is bad is not enough to really push many people to do
something about it. Much like wanting to quit smoking, knowing
it is bad for you don't induce people to quit doing it. However,
if you were to find some really good reasons to quit smoking,
like your doctor told you if you don't quit, you will lose a
lung next year, that might make you act and just do it.
Well, losing weight is just like quitting smoking, the more good
reasons you have to do it, the more likely you are to act on it
and make it happen. If you have something driving your
motivation aside from just knowing it is bad for you, you are
also more likely to maintain your weight loss goal once you
reach it.
First and foremost, losing weight means getting healthier. When
you lose those extra pounds you greatly reduce the risk or heart
disease, stroke, cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes and joint
stress, all conditions associated with being overweight. When
you reduce these risks, it means you can have a much better
chance of being around to see your children grow up and being
around to enjoy your grandchildren. That alone is reason enough
to get that weight down.
Another reason you might want to consider for losing weight is
that you will feel better. As you begin to lose some of those
extra pounds, you will start to notice your energy levels
increasing. Being overweight by 20 pounds is like putting a 20
pound sack of potatoes on your shoulders all day. Extra body fat
is nothing more than an extra burden to carry around with you
everyday, so the extra weight drains your energy. For this
reason, overweight people tend to be less active and this
promotes more fat to collect up on them. As this continues, they
become even less active and so this becomes a vicious cycle
leading to obesity.
As a nice little side benefit, losing weight will make you look
better, and who doesn't want to look better? Each and every one
of us has a vision of what we want to look like. Most people are
not completely satisfied with the way they look. They will
always find something they don't like about themselves and wish
they could change and for people who are overweight; this can be
a great motivator to lose weight. A recent study done concluded
that as early as age 5, girls who had higher body weights had
lower self esteem than girls with normal body weight.
When a person loses weight, what are almost always the responses
of other people who know that person? You hear things like; you
look good; you've lost weight haven't you? And think about how
you would feel when you've lost enough weight to be able to fit
into that dress or that pair of pants you wore back in high
school. Now keep in mind, looking better is a great reason to
lose weight but it should not be the only one.
When you have at least a few good, valid reasons to want to lose
weight, it will be a lot easier to motivate yourself to get
started and stay with it. Let's face it, your health, well being
and self esteem are very good reasons to get rid of those extra
pounds and keep them off for good.

something about it.

Daily Meal Plans for Successful Weight Loss
Author: Lynne Jones
When you make daily meal plans you are making it much easier to
lose weight. Diets are a huge industry. There are so many
different diets that you don’t know which way to turn. Very
few realize that the best way to lose weight is adopting a
healthy lifestyle. In order to successfully lose weight and keep
it off, you must eat balanced meals and get sufficient exercise.
Most think you must starve yourself to lose weight. The fact is
when you starve yourself, you make it harder to lose weight.
How does having daily meal plans href="http://www.l-a-marketing.info">increase your chance of
losing weight? Your body needs food to function. When it
gets enough food, your metabolic rate will increase. An
increased metabolism makes your body burn calories faster. If
you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight.
When you have daily meal plans you can decide how many calories
you want to eat for the day and split them up into the small
meals you eat.
Daily meal
plans can save you money. After you have planned your meals
you need to make a grocery list of the foods you need. When
shopping, you stick to what’s on the list and don’t do any
impulse buying. This will no doubt save you money plus you
won’t have bought unnecessary and probably fattening food.
If you plan your own daily meals, you can build in flexibility.
A successful daily meal plan program needs to have flexibility
as well as substance. If you know you are going to be on a meal
plan for 6 months to a year to get to your goal, do you really
think you’ll last eating just one of two different foods from
the food pyramid for all that time?
You can spend time and money running from one diet plan to
another and ending up with the same results, frustration and no
weight loss. Or you can spend some time and plan daily meals
that are nutritious and balanced and will put you on track to
lose the weight you want to lose and keep it off.
It can be hard to plan daily meals on your own. You can get
caught up on portion size, how much calories should be in fat,
protein, carbs, etc. href="http://www.l-a-marketing.info">Meal Plans 101 can do
all that for you. They will take your calorie number and create
creative, nutritional meal plans based on your food likes and

Melt that FAT Away!
================================================================
Author: Jeff Adams
Low carb diets restrict the consumption of carbohydrates. The
difference between the Atkins and the South Beach diet is within
the amount of restriction. The induction phase of the Atkins
diet restricts most carbohydrates while the South Beach diet
allows ‘good’ carbohydrate consumption. These diets can
really put one’s will power to the test. Why?
The human body’s primary source of energy is glucose. Glucose
is derived from the breakdown or hydrolysis of carbohydrates
that are consumed.
Now that we have a good understanding of what a carbohydrate is
and the importance of the carbohydrate in the body, maybe an
extreme low carb diet isn’t the answer for weight loss.
Extreme diets whether they are low carb or high protein can put
the body to the test. Carbohydrates may be a necessary evil, but
the body relies heavily on carbohydrates for energy. Instead of
testing one’s will power, using a weight loss supplement
called a carb blocker may be a better option.
Phaseolus vulgaris
interferes with the pancreas’ ability to secrete the enzyme
alpha-amylase.

Quick Weight Loss: Its not to late to get in shape for Summer
Author: Greg McKenzie
So you have yet to start a weight loss routine and summer is
right around the corner. You have definitely been dreaming and
making plans about lounging around the pool or hitting the beach
and letting the sun turn your skin a golden brown. At the
moment, you're probably thinking it will be awhile before you
can take off your shirt. Unfortunately, those extra layers of
fat you had stored up to keep you warm in the winter have long
since overstayed their welcome. You haven't got time for a long,
drawn out fitness routine like you'd originally planned, because
you need good, healthy weight loss in just weeks instead of
months! If this sounds like you, I'm in a position to provide
five tips that will help you lose those extra pounds quickly, in
fact as quickly as over the summer.
Fast Weight Loss Summer routine
We'll explore five ways to brush off those few extra pounds so
you can spend your summer having fun at pool parties instead of
hiding that bulky body indoors. You can achieve the results you
desire with a little hard work and a lot of discipline; it's not
easy but it can be done. Just keep in mind that it will only be
a few weeks.
Because diet is the most important part of weight loss, the
first four ideas deal with what you eat. Incorporating the fifth
tip works synergistically with the first four to help you lose
weight quickly. Medical studies prove this is the best route to
rapid loss of fat. In order to lose 3 to 5 kilograms in about 3
weeks, just follow these tips. Let's begin:
1) Lay off the starches. Stay away from rice and potatoes right
now as they are full of energy which you do not need. If you
don't get energy from pasta, rice and potatoes, your body will
find the energy it needs from other sources, and make no
mistake, when you go on to tip number 5 your body will need
extra energy.
2) Eliminate sugar from the food you eat. Sugar is the major
culprit behind your excess weight, and it should be a top
priority to balance your blood sugar. Your objective is to
provide your body with a slow and balanced supply of energy
throughout the day, while avoiding the energy spikes caused by
sugary foods.
3. Eat protein with every meal Protein slows down digestion and
with it the release of sugar into your blood stream. It also
causes the body to burn more energy as it takes a lot of energy
to digest.
4. Eat six meals a day Grazing on food all through the day has
two benefits. One is that the extra eating burns more calories,
two, the spread out meals balance your blood sugar out over the
course of the day
5. Do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Another key to
losing weight is exercise. Interval Training's special ability
is that it can burn fat over a 40 hour period after the
exercise. It also works completely in tandem with the diet
weight loss tips mentioned above to truly accelerate your summer
weight loss. You will need to build a routine that's specific
for weight loss.

Hoodia And Weight Loss
Author: Jeff Adams
San tribesmen of the Kalahari Desert in South Africa have one of
the oldest primitive cultures in existence, maybe as old as
100,000 years. They are hunter-gatherers and go on long hunting
expeditions. Given the harsh desert and scarcity of game, they
chew on a succulent plant called Hoodia Gordonii to keep off
hunger and thirst.
In 1937 a Dutch anthropologist recorded, this fact and in the
1960s CSIR, the South African research council, started a study
on the plant. In 1997 CSIR took out a patent on a molecule of
Hoodia, named P57, as an aid in weight-loss treatment. In 1998
they made an agreement with a British company, Phytopharm, to
test and market the product.
Phytopharm carried out the usual clinical trails of P 57 and
announced a very positive result in 2001. In a double-blind
study volunteers were given 400mg of dried Hoodia per day. After
15 days they reduced their calorie intake by 1,000 per day. The
control group did not show any appreciable reduction.
In the mid-brain hypothalamus there are nerve cells that detect
glucose. When we eat, the glucose from food reaches these nerve
cells, and they fire signals that make you feel full. The
molecule in Hoodia Gordonii P 57 is 10,000 times as active as
glucose in making these cells start the signal and make you feel
full. This plant has proved to be a natural appetite
suppressant, without the side effects of other chemicals that
are being used for weight loss treatment.
Unfortunately, Pfizer has given up the attempt to develop a
synthetic P 57 as not economical. Despite all the hype of the
Hoodia manufacturers, it is simply a natural way of suppressing
appetite and nothing more. For a sensible program to lose weight
you take it as one aspect of the total. You need to combine it
with a nutritious diet, exercise and life-style modification,
and each one of these is more important than the appetite
suppressant. A sensible weight loss program is one that can be
sustained over a long term without undergoing any privations.
Hoodia Gordoni is a very useful supplement during the initial
stages of a weight-loss program to shed the extra pounds. But
altering behavior patterns can keep those pounds off permanently.

The Scale Is Not Your Friend
Author: Jeff Adams
Congratulations! You've chosen to embark on a journey towards a
healthier lifestyle. After much research, you've eliminated
processed foods and sugar from your diet, reduced your fat
intake, and increased your protein. Each day begins with you
dragging yourself out of bed to make sure you get in your new
workout regimen, including both cardio and strength training.
Weigh-in day rolls around and you jump on the scale, as nervous
and excited as a child on Christmas morning. Excitement quickly
turns to disgust as you realize the scale hasn't even moved ...
or worse yet, it has actually gone up!
Although it may be tempting to just throw in the towel and plop
down in front of the TV to drown your sorrows in a pint of Ben &
Jerry's, don't be so quick to give up. Contrary to popular
belief, the scale is not the best indicator of your fitness
level. It can be used in conjunction with several other tools to
help measure your progress, but should never be relied on as the
sole means of measurement.
Body Fat
A body fat analysis is a very useful tool in the quest to
become healthier, and thanks to modern technology, it's easy to
find out what percentage of your total body weight is lean
muscle mass and how much is fat.
There are several methods for analyzing body fat including body
weight scales and hand-held body fat analyzers, both of which
send a painless electrical pulse through your body. A personal
trainer or nutritionist can also analyze your body fat
percentage or a nominal fee, typically using a device known as
calipers. Each method can vary slightly, so it is important to
select a method and use it consistently to ensure your results
are as accurate as possible.
Measurements
One pound of muscle takes up 2/3 the area of one pound of fat.
They may weigh the same, but they don't look anything alike!
Need a mental image? Consider one pound of Jello sitting beside
one pound of lean, cooked beef. Which do you think will take up
more space? Obviously the Jello will and it will be "jiggly" as
well. The beef will be more condensed and solid -- leaner.
Why do I make this comparison? When you begin working out,
especially if you incorporate strength training into your
routine, you will be building muscle. In many cases, you will
initially build muscle as fast or faster than you lose the fat.
The scale will not recognize the difference between the fat and
muscle, so it is entirely possible to see only a small weight
loss, hold steady, or even gain weight although your body shape
is changing!
By tracking actual measurements, you will have a better
assessment of how your body shape is changing and improving,
even if the scale doesn't seem to agree. Suggested measurements
for comparison are chest, waist, abdomen, hips, thighs, calves
and biceps. Be sure to measure exactly the same spot each time
to keep the results as accurate as possible. Enter your
measurements in a spreadsheet or chart, updating monthly to
track your progress!
Photos Don't Lie The absolute best method of measuring your
weight loss is to see it for yourself. Have your spouse, friend,
or family member take photos of you as bare as your dare.
Remember that no one other than you will need to see these
photos, so choose a revealing outfit such as a bathing suit,
workout shorts & bra, or even your skivvies!
Take new photos each month, always wearing the same outfit.
You'll be shocked at the changes that you see and you should
remain motivated enough to make it through another month.
When you do weigh in
Be sure to weigh in wearing the same clothing, and under the
same circumstances. To make it easiest, simply weigh in first
thing in the morning, after emptying your bladder, and without
any clothes on. Keep in mind that scales can be affected by a
number of factors including moisture and how level the floor is.
Try to ensure that the scale is situated in the same spot on the
floor (I use a particular tile to line up with) and that there
is not excessive moisture at the time.
Remember, it's NOT all about the scale!
The safest, most practical method to lose weight is to eat
healthy, clean foods such as whole grains, fresh fruits and
vegetables, and lean meats as well as exercising daily. Strength
training should be incorporated into your workout routine
several times per week as well as at least 30 minutes of cardio
per day.
Find a support group that has goals similar to your own to help
you stay motivated. You may find one at your local gym, with
organizations such as Weight Watchers, or even online. Personal
Fitness Zone has an active, extremely supportive community that
is free to join at http://www.PersonalFitnessZone.com/boards/
Don't become discouraged just because the scale doesn't move as
fast as you would like. You did not put on that excess weight
overnight, and it's not going to come off that quickly either.
Use multiple methods for tracking your progress and don't rely
so heavily on the scale - you'll be much happier and more
inclined to stick with it!
